WIDOW - An incomplete line, as in the ending of a paragraph, which is carried over to the top of a new page or column.
WIRE-SIDE - In papermaking, the side of a sheet next to the wire in manufacturing. Opposite from the felt side.
WOVE PAPER - Paper having a uniform unlined surface and a soft smooth finish.
